Wow! Sorry I haven't been keeping up the blog. We have been a little busy. We had our social worker out in February for our 6 month post placement visit. Can you believe it? Peter has been home for 6 months. Sometimes it feels like it was just yesterday and other times it feels like we have had him forever. He seems to be adjusting very well. He is trying all kinds of words now but his favorite way to communicate is still a whine (we are working on that). :)
We went to Disney World in February with my parents. We love to go to see Mickey and Friends. Peter and Gracie really loved it. Gracie is all about the Princesses now so we had lunch with them one day. She was soooo cute!
Peter liked the Princesses, too. We learned that Peter is a lot like his daddy while we were there. At the end of every day, Peter was jazzed and ready for more, just like Dave. Gracie and I , however were peopled out and ready to go back to the condo. It is really neat to see how these children from China are so much like us. Grace has been a "mini me" from the beginning and we are seeing now that Peter is a lot like Dave. How amazing is God to create this family through adoption. He is so good!
We also, hold on to your hats, went to Hawaii with Dave. He had to go for work so he brought us along for the ride. It was soooo fun. The kids and I relaxed by the pool all day while Daddy was away working. The hotel was gorgeous and had so much for us to do while we were there. We had a blast. Grace loves flowers so she was in heaven. She wanted to pick every flower she saw. It was hard trying to keep ahead of her to make sure the flowers remained on their plants. :) It was a beautiful trip!
Now that we are home we still feel like we are running because it is our anniversary and Easter, and Peter's birthday.... whoooo... getting tired just thinking of all that needs to get done. :)
